Airfox Progress Report​

We are excited to announce that Airfox Arcade™ has entered private pre-alpha testing as of 20 October, 2023. These tests are critical to pinpoint exactly how games interact with the API and resolve any issues that may arise.

Lead Dev Reporting In:​

The contract is complete and functional on Base Testnet.

Implementation of platform social features.

Updated game software version control.

Updated game upload portal.

New Game Gallery added to upload in-game images.

Implemented high score viewing.

All tests passed on Base Testnet.

Gas fees to deploy games are incredibly low. Unit testing conducted on private blockchain instance.

SkyBridge™​

Following recent meetings with our Base Bridge developers, we have finalized our plans for SkyBridge and its unique bridging experience. This bridge will allow users to easily move tokens between Ethereum Mainnet and Base Network.

While traditional bridges built on the Optimism Stack force an approximately 7-day withdrawal delay moving from Layer-2 to Layer-1, Airfox SkyBridge will grant users the flexibility to to bypass this restriction entirely. SkyBridge will offer two protocols for withdrawal of tokens back to Layer-1.

  1. Our trusted proprietary model which uses hosted virtualization servers to bridge tokens to Layer-1 in speeds up to 20 minutes to bridge.
  2. A traditional decentralized trustless model. This legacy protocol enforces a minimum 7-day withdrawal window.

Our open bridge will allow projects to easily and cheaply deploy their tokens or NFTs on Base. Projects that deploy on Base will allow their users to take advantage of the network’s blazing-fast speed, near-zero transaction fees, and exposure to Coinbase’s existing usersbase. The Airfox team will be deploying several popular tokens on Base network for use with SkyBridge, and we eagerly look forward to working directly with DeFi communities and developers in the future!

Game Jam Progress Update​

The Airfox Game Jam has begun! So far, we’ve witnessed many game developers actively engaging with the community on Discord, sharing screenshots of their development stages, and even hosting daily livestreams on Twitch. As of today, 94 devs have joined the Game Jam to participate. We are currently one week into this event, and we’ve already seen amazing achievements from each team and their progress with their games.

We encourage the Airfox community to participate and check out the progress on our Discord server. The Discord community has been having a blast while watching game developers stream their progress, and providing feedback and tips. Our community will be deciding the winners by using the Airfox DAO system. Be sure you get yourself familiar with each submission as your voice matters with your vote!

Airfox DAO Constitution​

In the coming days we will be opening a Special Topics channel in the Discord server to discuss the Airfox DAO Constitution proposal!

In this area, everyone will have the ability to discuss and propose changes along with fellow community members. This channel will be open for a predetermined amount of time before being put to a vote. This vote shall require a three-quarters supermajority of AFX tokens to ratify the document.

Like a real-world constitution, the Airfox DAO Constitution is designed to be a breathing document, wherein amendments may be passed if achieving overwhelming voter support.

Flightmap Update​

First, we would like to apologize for the repeated delays in deploying our updated website! While we originally planned to have a brand new professional design published some weeks ago, we have experienced some delays in securing a contract with our web designer. We will keep the community updated as progress is made, and we expect to sign an agreement to build our site in the very near future.

In the meanwhile, we wanted to provide an update on our roadmap! As we have discussed previously in our community chats, our roadmap is always evolving as we progress through development. Our current website will soon be updated with our new project roadmap below!
